Dr. Doan is an assistant professor at Claremont Mckenna College, and Director of the Applied Mind and Health Laboratory.

Dr. Stacey N. Doan is a health psychologist with an interest in understanding how psychosocial factors like family, poverty, and cultural practices "get underneath the skin" to influence physical health and psychological well-being. She is also interested in the role of emotions, self-control, and social relationships and how they influence physical health and psychological well-being. Her research has been published in the top developmental and health journals.
Dr. Doan has also serve as a consultant for companies interested in designing products to improve the health and well-being of children. She is particularly interested in working with start-ups to evaluate the effectiveness of their products, and to generate insights for new innovations. On occasion, she does some life-coaching. She is a frequent speaker at colleges, universities, local, national and international conferences.

February, 2017. Dr. Doan is the recipient of the Western Psychological Association Early Career Award and the Society for Research on Child Development - Asian Caucus.
September, 2016. Dr Doan gave a lecture at Pomona College, "Maternal shaping of the stress response."
July, 2016: Lab members presented their latest research at the International Society for Behavioral Development conference in Vilnius, Lithuania!
May, 2016. Lab research assistant Isabel Mendiola won the Fletcher Jones Research Award!
April, 2016. Dr. Doan was awarded an NIDA grant!
